Terms of service
Last updated 11 September 2026
These terms are between you and Geary Works, 1380 Rio Rancho Blvd SE #470, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124, United States, which makes Crewmanual. Installing or buying Crewmanual means you accept them.
What you get
Crewmanual is a Chrome extension that records work done in your browser and turns it into step-by-step guides. The free version records unlimited guides. Paying $99 once buys your company a licence to the paid features, for everyone who works there, with no per-person charge and no renewal.
“Your company” means one business. If you run three separate companies, that is three licences. We are not going to audit you over it, but that is the deal.
What you may not do
- Share, resell or publish your licence key.
- Use Crewmanual to record something you do not have the right to record — someone else’s system you are not authorised to be in, for example.
- Take Crewmanual apart to build a competing product, or work around the licence check.
Your work is yours
The guides, screenshots and manuals you create belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and, as the privacy page explains, we do not hold copies of your screenshots.
Our software is ours
Crewmanual itself, its name and its code remain ours. You get a licence to use it, not ownership of it.
What we promise, and what we don’t
We will try hard to make Crewmanual work and to fix it when it breaks. But it is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will suit your particular business or run without fault. Software written by people has bugs in it, and pretending otherwise in a legal document helps nobody.
Crewmanual writes documentation. It does not give legal, tax, safety or code-compliance advice, and a guide it produces is not a substitute for someone qualified checking the work.
If something goes wrong
To the extent the law allows, what we owe you for any problem with Crewmanual is capped at what you paid us. We are not liable for lost profit, lost work, or damage that follows on from a problem. Nothing here removes a right you have under consumer law that cannot be signed away.
Money
Payments are handled by Polar, which acts as merchant of record and handles sales tax. Our refund policy is part of these terms.
Ending it
You can stop using Crewmanual and uninstall it at any time. We can end a licence if it is being used in breach of these terms, and if we do that within your refund window we will refund you.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change materially reduces what you get, it does not apply retroactively to a licence you already bought.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States. Questions: support@crewmanual.com.
